On Tuesday, 18 October 2016, in the evening at 21:30, in Vilniaus district municipality, on the Nemenčinė–Sužionys–Jonėnai regional road (kilometre 10), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda MX-3 and a Chrysler Voyager. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Mazda (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
