On Sunday, 23 October 2016, in the evening at 17:15, in Kaunas, on Islandijos pl. near No. 32, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a Volkswagen Caddy hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 13-year-old pedestrian, who committed sudden emergence from behind a vehicle, tree, etc.. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
