On Monday, 14 November 2016, in the evening at 18:30, in Šiauliai, on Mechanikų street near No. 13, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 registered in Estonia and a BMW 320. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 74-year-old driver of the Citroen (37 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
