On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in the evening at around 22:00, in Utenos district municipality, on Aušros street near No. 67, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 and an Audi 80. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 53-year-old driver of the BMW, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
