On Tuesday, 29 November 2016, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on K. Petrausko street near No. 26, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.35‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
