On Friday, 2 December 2016, at night at 0:50, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 126.72), a Volvo S60 hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Volvo (13 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
