On Saturday, 10 December 2016, in the evening at 18:15, in Šilutės district municipality, Vilkyčių village, on Minijos street, at the junction with Veiviržo street, a Ford Mondeo hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Ford, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
