On Tuesday, 13 December 2016, in the evening at 19:19, in Rokiškio district municipality, Juodupės town, on Pergalės street near No. 16, a Volkswagen Sharan hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 51-year-old pedestrian, who was walking at night without reflectors (light, hi-vis vest). She was drunk (2.02‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
