On Sunday, 25 December 2016, at night at 4:51, in Joniškio district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 11.35), a Skoda Octavia rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Skoda (5 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
