On Thursday, 12 January 2017, in the afternoon at 13:20, in Kretingos district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 126.50), an Iveco Stralis ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Iveco (18 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
