On Friday, 13 January 2017, in the afternoon at 16:20, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Varėna–Gardinas main road (kilometre 21.30), a head-on collision occurred. Four people were injured — the 46-year-old driver of the Renault (treated as an outpatient), a 43-year-old passenger of the Audi (hospitalized), a 38-year-old passenger of the Audi (severely injured, hospitalized) and a 7-year-old passenger of the Renault (hospitalized).
