On Tuesday, 17 January 2017, at night at 0:20, in Alytaus district municipality, Eičiūnų village, on Beržų street near No. 7, a Mitsubishi Galant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene.
