On Monday, 23 January 2017, in the afternoon at around 11:00, in Tauragės district municipality, Kirklių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 206.50), a MAN hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the MAN (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
