On Wednesday, 25 January 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Kaunas, on Birželio 23-iosios street near No. 1, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Solaris Urbino 12 and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 68-year-old driver of the Solaris (23 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
