On Monday, 6 February 2017, in the afternoon at 12:40, in Šakių district municipality, Plokščių village, on Nemuno street near No. 31, an Audi hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (2.78‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
