On Monday, 6 February 2017, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Zarasų district municipality, Juodenių village, on the Kiti keliai local road (kilometre 2.19), an Audi 100 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (3.09‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
