On Friday, 17 February 2017, in the afternoon at 13:32, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr. near No. 255, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and an Acura RL. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (2.22‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
