On Saturday, 4 March 2017, in the morning at 8:26, in Jonavos district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 20.10), a Scania P 340 registered in Poland hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 50-year-old driver of the Scania (2 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was icy.
