On Sunday, 26 March 2017, at night at around 23:00, in Kauno district municipality, on J. Lukšos street, at the junction with Pažėrų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mini and a Seat Leon. Two people were injured — the 31-year-old driver of the Seat (treated as an outpatient) and a 30-year-old passenger of the Seat (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mini (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
