On Monday, 27 March 2017, in the morning at around 9:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 0.30), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a vehicle and a Mazda 323. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
