On Wednesday, 29 March 2017, in the afternoon at 14:33, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Tiguan and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
