On Thursday, 6 April 2017, in the morning at 8:20, in Prienų district municipality, Pagramdinės village, on the Kazlų Rūda–Pažėrai regional road (kilometre 12.30), a DAF ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 45-year-old driver of the DAF (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.28‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
