On Friday, 7 April 2017, in the afternoon at 14:37, in Klaipėda, on Liepojos street near No. 22, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Saab 9-3. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Opel (34 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction and failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The 25-year-old driver of the Saab was drunk (2.57‰) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
