On Friday, 7 April 2017, at night at 23:50, in Širvintų district municipality, Medžiukų village, on Senoji street near No. 2A, an Audi A4 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.71‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was raining, the road surface was wet.
