On Friday, 14 April 2017, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street near No. 109, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Volvo V70. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
