On Wednesday, 26 April 2017, at night at around 23:00, in Šiaulių district municipality, Kužių town, on Ramybės street, a Renault Megane hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Renault, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
