On Thursday, 4 May 2017, in the evening at 20:20, in Kaunas, on R. Kalantos street near No. 48, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Cordoba Vario and an Audi A6. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Seat, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
