On Friday, 5 May 2017, in the evening at 20:50, in Kaunas, on S. Žukausko street near No. 3B, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Mazda 323, a Renault Laguna and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence. All drivers were sober. The 25-year-old driver of the Renault had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
