On Saturday, 6 May 2017, in the evening at 18:08, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Užventis–Šaukėnai–Kuršėnai national road (kilometre 4.33), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V70, a Seat Altea XL and an Audi 100. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Volvo (24 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. All drivers were sober.
