On Friday, 12 May 2017, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Kaunas, on Vaidoto street near No. 83, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 10-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 86-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (22 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
