On Friday, 12 May 2017, at night at 23:57, in Šilalės district municipality, Dirkintų village, on Slėnio street, a Peugeot 406 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 17-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober.
