On Monday, 12 June 2017, in the evening at 19:44, in Vilniaus district municipality, Riešės village, on Aušros street near No. 2, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.49‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
