On Tuesday, 13 June 2017, in the morning at 10:45, in Elektrėnų municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 56), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
