On Tuesday, 13 June 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 16), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Nissan X-Trail, a Volkswagen Caddy and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Nissan (30 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober.
