On Saturday, 24 June 2017, in the evening at 21:40, in Lazdijų district municipality, on Dzūkų street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford Fiesta and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Ford Fiesta. He was drunk (3.25‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
