On Friday, 30 June 2017, in the evening at 20:55, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Daugai–Skabeikiai–Dusmenys regional road (kilometre 4), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and an Audi 80. Two people were injured — the 83-year-old driver of the Audi 80 (treated as an outpatient) and a 27-year-old passenger of the Audi A6 (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Audi A6 (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.50‰ blood alcohol). The 83-year-old driver of the Audi 80 was drunk. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
