On Sunday, 9 July 2017, at night at 3:30, in Kaunas, on K. Veverskio street near No. 3, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 406, a Volvo S80, a Ford Focus C-MAX, a Renault Scenic and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Peugeot (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
