On Monday, 14 August 2017, at night at around 0:00, in Anykščių district municipality, Svirnų II village, on the Radiškis–Anykščiai–Rokiškis national road (kilometre 5.10), a Saab 9-5 rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 25-year-old driver of the Saab (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He evaded sobriety testing and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
