On Thursday, 17 August 2017, in the evening at 22:40, in Kaunas, on Veiverių street near No. 51, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and an Opel Vectra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
