On Wednesday, 6 September 2017, in the evening at 17:50, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 29, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Vectra and a Fiat Bravo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 84-year-old driver of the Opel (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
