On Saturday, 9 September 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Palemono street, at the junction with Šilėnų street, a collision with a moped occurred. The collision involved a Yamaha and a Fiat 500. One person was injured — a 15-year-old passenger of the Yamaha (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 16-year-old driver of the Yamaha (1 year of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
