On Tuesday, 12 September 2017, at night at 23:30, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 5, an Audi 100 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Audi (less than a year of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. He was drunk (2.68‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
