On Thursday, 14 September 2017, in the evening at 20:25, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 25.10), a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Citroen C5 and an Opel Astra. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 19-year-old driver of the Citroen (2 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings. Both drivers were sober.
