On Saturday, 16 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Klaipėda, on Debreceno street near No. 19, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra and a Hyundai i 30. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Opel (1 year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet.
