On Tuesday, 26 September 2017, in the evening at 17:33, in Utenos district municipality, Ruklių village, on the Sudeikiai–Rukliai–Antandraja regional road (kilometre 4.60), a Renault Megane Scenic ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Renault (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.54‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
