On Friday, 29 September 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kaunas, on H. ir O. Minkovskių street, at the junction with Veiverių street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Meriva and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 82-year-old driver of the Opel (45 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
