On Friday, 6 October 2017, in the evening at 18:21, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 27.20), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206 and a Fiat. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Peugeot (25 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
