On Thursday, 19 October 2017, at night at 23:30, in Prienų district municipality, Vėžionių village, on Dvaro street, at the junction with Plento street, an Opel Astra ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Opel, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (0.55‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
