On Friday, 27 October 2017, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Kelmė–Užventis national road (kilometre 6.90), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Ford Galaxy and a Renault Trafic. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Ford (13 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
