On Saturday, 11 November 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Rietavo municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 251.50), a Citroen C4 Picasso ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Citroen (16 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
